Notice of Public Hearing/Meeting of Electors/Town Board Mtg-Nov 24th, 5pm

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that PUBLIC HEARING on the proposed budget for the Town of Hortonia will be held Nov 24^th, 2025 at 5pm. in the Town Admin Office-215 W Main St Hortonville.Budget Summary will be posted publicly at the Town Hall, Town Admin Office, and Fire Hall.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that immediately following the Public Budget Hearing, there will be a SPECIAL TOWN MEETING of the electors for the following purposes:

1.     To adopt the 2025 town tax levy to be paid in 2026 pursuant to §60.10(1)(a) of Wisconsin State Statutes.

2.     To authorize the Town Board to hire Town Officials as employees of the Town and set an hourly wage pursuant to §60.10(1)(g) of WI State Statutes.

3.     To approve 2026 roadway expenditures pursuant to Statute §81.01(3).

4.     To authorize the Town Board to purchase land for present or anticipated town purposes pursuant to Wis. Stat. 60.10(2)(e).

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING will be held immediately following the Special Town meeting. The Town Board meeting will be held to discuss and adopt the 2026 Budget for the Town of Hortonia.

A quorum of Plan Commissioners and/or Board of Appeals members may be present during the meetings. If the meetings are cancelled due to weather or other circumstances, a notice of cancellation will be left on the Town Hall's answering machine: 779-9780.
